ARTCOUSTIC was "the solution to my problem." - John Flood, London, UK

I have just radically rebuilt my east London Victorian terrace house. It now has no walls or doors inside and instead has lots of glass to bring in the light it used to lack. I wanted this space to be good to look at as well as to live in. I also needed something more: I wanted to fill this open, bright space with sound. My architect asked me what I was going to do about music and sound and I couldn't tell him straight away because it's a confusing and sometimes intimidating subject. When I walk into a typical hi fi store, I'm lost—the language, the high pressure sales. What's more, I hate the look of most of the stuff you see in these places. It's ugly. I wanted to hear music wherever I went. What I didn't want were bulky hi fi units gleaming chrome at me. Nor did I want gigantic speakers that hulked like monsters in the corners.

I was lucky. At the 100% Design Show I discovered Artcoustic. It gave me the solution to my problem. My Artcoustic speakers hang on the walls covered in screens of impressive design. But more importantly, the sound is tremendous. When I listen to music I feel I'm in it. I actually feel it. My response is emotional and physical. I have never known another speaker produce such a truthful sound. I am aware I am listening to the music; not to the equipment. Artcoustic speakers are simply the best and most attractive I have ever encountered. The sound is incomparable. It is so good that the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when the instruments play. And it doesn't matter what the music is—classical, jazz, rock—all are realistically reproduced with the minimum of effort. I feel I am right there. These speakers truly do speak to you, but they do it with a subtlety and elegance that's usually absent from everyday hi fi.

But it isn't just the sound, it's also the look. Artcoustic speakers' screens beg to be changed around. There are so many exciting designs to choose from that it's difficult to say "that's it." Instead of having matching screens on pairs of speakers, I went for different designs in the same pattern. The way Artcoustic speakers hang on the wall, most people aren't aware that they are looking at speakers. My friends were convinced I had bought a new range of pictures—until I turned on the sound! I wanted the best sound I could get but I didn't want a house full of "techie" looking equipment that shouts “boys toys.” I wanted the most truthful sound I could hear with the most attractive appearance I could lay my eyes on. Artcoustic delivered both.

"A truly high quality product and service to match!" - Dr. Shawn Hollander, FL
"I installed a home office home theater around a 42" Panasonic HDTV plasma and clearly needed a niche speaker product. My primary concern was space, without sacrificing sound quality. After an extensive search of options, I found ARTCOUSTIC on the web. My experience with ARTCOUSTIC was that their excellent product has satisfied my needs on many accounts.

"I've had the Diablo's and the DF-MULTI installed for several weeks now, and have enjoyed the full frequency response and clear sound.
They do not sound like small thin speakers!

"I would recommend anyone looking for a modern, contemporary product to consider the ARTCOUSTIC line.

"The speakers shipped directly from Denmark, and the packaging job was superb, as was the service letting me know about my order status each step of the way.

"In all, I'd give the ARTCOUSTIC experience very high marks, a truly high quality product and service to match!"

"These Babies Rock!" - Lenny Gross, Houston, TX

"As a home theater enthusiast with limited floor space in my viewing room, I searched for many months for high quality wall mounted speakers. Needless to say there were none until the introduction of the ARTCOUSTIC line. After reading the product specifications on line, I had a long and detailed question and answer session with the helpful people at StJohn Group, and decided to take a chance on the ARTCOUSTIC Diablos to use as rear surrounds to complete my 7.1 system.

"Six weeks later they arrived from Denmark , and one hour later they were on my walls. First of all ,they are great lookers against a white background. But best of all, they have a sweet ,mellow midrange and crystal clear pleasant highs. My preference in music is classical, opera and rock in that order. These speakers seem to handle accurately any multichannel musical program that I throw at them. They have blended well sonically with speakers from another high-end brand that I own.

"As rear effect speakers when playing Dolby or DTS 5.1 movies they perform flawlessly without any discernable distortion. As they say, 'These babies rock!'

"I am already planning another installation in my living room with a larger set of these ARTCOUSTICS flanking a flat 50" LCD screen (when these become available in the near future). My wife, who is not fond of my standard tower speakers, is very pleased with the decorative appeal of our new speakers."

Greg Den Herder, co-owner, 33 Restaurant and Lounge, Boston, MA

"We are a restaurant and a lounge that is very concerned about design. Our look is unique in that we combine both contemporary and rustic elements of old Boston architecture. Because we needed to blend in with the brick walls in our space, ARTCOUSTIC was a natural choice. We knew that placing typical black “JBL type” box speakers on our walls, as most restaurants settle for, would be a big distraction and at odds with the design goals set by our architectural firm - 3SIXO.

"Rather than try to hide the speaker system in this challenging environment, ARTCOUSTIC allows us to place them in plain view and use them as design elements. They enhance the aesthetics of our rooms by appearing as a well-designed wall covering.

"But where they really shine is in their performance. They fill the room with rich full sound that our patrons enjoy. We used 10 DF100-75s to give us consistent coverage in our 3,500 square foot main dining room. We also used several additional DF100-75s in our lounge area. Because ARTCOUSTIC speakers are capable of full range performance, another benefit we experienced was not having to build a separate subwoofer system somewhere like the ceiling as we’ve seen in other clubs and restaurants.

"Occasionally we like to crank the system up, and the ARTCOUSTICs sound as good at high output levels as they do at the fairly low volume settings we use them at most of the time. No distortion. Really balanced sound.

"We’ve had many compliments from our guests and the press on the quality of our sound system. While most of them don't realize that the sound is coming from the wall coverings, those that have figured it out often ask us where they can buy them.

"They think they are very cool. So do we."
